A yearlong residency at Center for Book Arts (NY) led to the development of an unraveling book structure, which playfully synthesizes the architecture and anatomy of a book form with that of the human body. Governing Vessels, a variable edition artist book, is a network of cases in which each panel houses a dissected portion of a print. A polymorphic composition of vertebral shapes, the piece is a meditation on embodied hierarchical strata. Viewers are invited to interact with the book.
